Pouring the walls

It started to rain....

That's a BIG boom!

Water in the pump-out
Can you just feel the drizzle?

Doug's borrowed tile plow tractor.
What a day the first pour of the walls turned out to be. Our contractor said the forecast showed no rain, but it backed up from Missouri. Wretched state! Even though it was a light mist, it made everything greasy and slippery and Doug had to pull the cement trucks in and out of the field. I wonder if crops will EVER grow there again! They couldn't use the real lane because that was MUCH too muddy! After a while, Daniel Keith came and drug the trucks with his bulldozer. That helped (until the one guy thought he was slipping into the pit, stepped on the brake, and popped the chain. Sigh.)
